So I have a solution for Azik, if he picked option 2 or advanced to sequence 1. Anything that causes him to be associated with the title of "God of Death"

The sequence 1 ritual is to become synonymous with death or the underworld. Azik would be able to use his dad's title of "God of Death" to do so, however he slowly becomes more like him. Presumably due to how worshipers slowly change the image of the gods based off of their beliefs.

However this just means that if somebody has a Really Good PR team then they're kinda set. So in order to keep Azik stable, he needs to rehabilitate his image. Needs to do something, as The God of Death, that's so public and dramatic that it permanently changes how people view the concept of death. Something that people will talk about for ages.

And well. There is very little people love more than a Good Love story.

So of course the best way for Azik to keep his humanity, is to Loudly and Publicly court Mr Fool.
