I know it would be really unrealistic and not like Fellowes at all, but I'd love to see Violet as a ghost in the new Downton movie.

Or it doesn't have to be a ghost, but sometimes her portrait could start to talk. Like when something outrageous happens.

Also, can we have Mr Barber back as well?

The troubled Mr Barber runs into Lady Mary in the drawing room after dinner, and as they begin to talk, she accidentally gives him an idea that can change the entire film. A Downton Abbey: A New Era speculation fic based on the trailer and some promotional stills.

Notes: I just couldn’t get the whole “Mary gets to voice the actress’ character in the film” idea out of my head and wrote this. Of course, it’s pure speculation, based on what I saw in the trailer. Due to that I tried to be as vague as I could about the film and Mr Barber as well. I didn’t even give him a first name, because there’s no way I could get it right. (My instinct says it’s Jeffrey, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the case)
