-Petra’s mother died shortly after Petra was born, so Petra doesn’t know much about her.
-Her father has told her a lot about her mother. She was called Lily, and Petra appears to look a lot like her, she got her ginger hair from her mom.
-Her father misses Lily a lot, but is soothed when he is with Petra, because she reminds him of his wife. Petra is his most loved and treasured only child, and he makes sure Petra knows that.
-Petra’s father is fairly resourceful and has a decent income. He likes to give his daughter loads of gifts. Not only on her own birthday, but she also gets gifts her father would have wanted his wife to have. So Petra gets gifts on Lily’s birthday as well.
-Because mr Ral has a fair amount of money to spend, Petra always gets nice gifts, sometimes even quite expensive. Often some piece of jewelry: bracelets or a necklace (mr Ral expects her future husband to fix a nice ring), a new set of clothes or a flower-scented perfume. He really wants Petra to be happy.
-Sometimes he gets scared she isn’t happy, and he felt he couldn’t be there enough for her like her mom could have. The first time Petra got on her period is an example. He didn’t really know how to help her or teach her what was happening. Petra even felt a bit uncomfortable to tell him in the first place. At those times he really wishes she still had a mother figure in her life.
-Yet he never remarried. Didn’t even consider it. Just no one could replace his late wife Lily, and never will.
-When Petra first had her period mr Ral felt obliged to finally tell her about the birds and the bees. He never really did because he felt a little awkward to. When he started Petra gave him a weird look and confidently told him she already knew what the birds and the bees mean. Yet, when he finished the talk, it appeared Petra did not know so much as she thought. Mr. Ral was relieved when the talk was over.
-Even though he gives Petra a lot of gifts, he made sure she never became a spoiled child. He taught her how money works, and how not everybody can afford gifts or any luxury really. He made sure she knew how well they have it, and that she should always be grateful for the things she has and be kind to all people, as she doesn’t know how hard they could have it.
-Petra instantly embody the graces of gratefulness and kindness as it comes natural to her. She had always had a gentle heart, like her father.
-Mr Ral taught Petra kindness and gratitude, but he also taught her she doesn’t have to accept shit and she should stand her ground when she is disrespected. He makes sure Petra knows her worth and doesn’t settle for a man who doesn’t treat her right.
-Petra dating men sometimes worries him. So much can go right, she can meet the right one, but also so many things can go wrong, what if he abuses her? It would be his nightmare.
-Yet he really can’t wait for the day Petra finds a good partner. He doesn’t care who it is as long as his daughter is happy. He also knows Petra can fall in love very quickly and very deeply. He wouldn’t want her to marry when she is still very young, he is scared she will settle too soon. He would want her to experience relationships without tying the knot right away.
-Mr Ral sometimes does imagine Petra in a wedding gown like his late wife had, and his eyes immediately get watery.
-He would definitely walk her down the aisle to give her away, that feeling of supporting his daughter from his own care into the care of someone else gives him such a proud feeling.
-He gifted her a jewelry set specially made for her wedding day
-When she and her partner told each other ‘I do’ he silently sobbed. He is a real emotional man and to see his daughter so happy and so beautiful just tears him up.
-he can’t wait to have grandchildren. He only had one daughter of his own, so he really hopes he will have more than one grandchild. He knows Petra loves children and really wants children of her own one day, so he feels blessed. He just has to stay patient.

-Although he is really proud of Petra being such a strong and fierce woman, he also knows she is still a young girl. The thought of her being an elite in the SC fills him with pride as well as fear. He had already lost his wife, he had the strength to go on without Lily because of Petra. If he would lose his baby girl, he just knows he would not survive that loss…
-Every time the SC goes out on an expedition his anxiety rises up, and though he doesn’t belief in guardian angels, he begs his late wife not to take Petra with her yet. And guard over her instead.
-Every time the SC comes back he is one of the first people there. He needs to know if his daughter is okay as soon as he can.
-When he sees her, tired and broken on the back of her horse he is both filled with sadness and happiness at the same time. So happy to see her alive, but so sad to see her so broken.
-He makes sure she gets home when she has returned. She has to tell him everything that happened. He will hug her as she cries over the losses in front of the fireplace. Caress her fire hair until she calms down again. When she is so tired he brings her to her bed and tugs her in like he did when she was still a young child. In his eyes she will always be his baby girl, and he will take care of her no matter what.
Petra, with her fiery hair and fire burning in her heart, will always be his baby girl.
