Misterjaw
Produced at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises in 1976 as a segment in The Pink Panther Show, Misterjaw was a mischievous shark who enjoyed leaping out of the water and yelling ‘HEEGotcha!’ at unsuspecting folks who would run off in terror. The shark speaks with an exaggerated German accent and is frequently accompanied by a small bowler-hatted toughie named Catfish. Misterjaw and Catfish swim about the ocean trying to catch Harry Halibut whilst dodging pursuit of Fearless Freddy the Shark Hunter.
Actor Arte Johnson provided the voice for Misterjaw; with Arnold Stang as Catfish, Bob Ogle and Harry Halibut and Paul Winchell as Fearless Freddy. Thirty-four segments were produced and ran as backup features on the Pink Panther Show. The segments were repackaged as a solo series entitled Mr. Jaws and Catfish.
