He’s not really fine. Nope far from it. But he’s never going to admit it to anyone, it was better if he kept to himself and just stay quiet. Nobody would notice right?
He was wrong.
His grey eyes looked up to Sirius, meeting the other’s smoldering dark eyes with his own. Right then he faltered. He had underestimated Sirius’ observation skills. He forced a tight smile on his face that surely looked more like a grimace than a smile.
“I’m alright. Just thinking.”
Sirius was pretty good at picking up on when people around him were upset. At least the people he cared about, and Ringo was certainly among those ranks. He wasn’t so good at comforting, but noticing... yes.
He frowned slightly at the sight of whatever that expression was on Ringo’s face. He knew it was an attempt at a smile but it looked more pained than anything.
“Well, what are you thinking about?” He asked, “Because it doesn’t seem to be a pleasant thought... you look distressed.”
