Mr. Stacks Amsterdam - Netherlands
Mr. Stacks: See, you gotta play the cards that you've been dealt. No matter how bad the cards are.
Annie: What if you don't have *any* cards.
Mr. Stacks: Then you bluff.
Really though!
Spoiler, but near the end of “Annie,” Mr. Stacks is talking to his assistant, Grace, and he says something like:
"Grace, you know I’ve never been good with the emotions thing, but I’m learning now. Would you go to dinner with me? I mean, because I can’t function without you. Not like just with work, but with everything. You were right, you’re always right. I need you…"
Something like that. And my inner Zhurrick feels went off like crazy because of the “I cannot function without you” bit; and Varrick realized the same thing when Zhu Li left him!!
Also earlier, Mr. Stacks has another assistant who irritates him. Grace says something smart, and the guy is like, “You’re going to let her talk to you like that?” to which Mr. Stacks pretty much replies that Grace can talk to him any way she wants (as he holds her in higher regards than the other guy).
So yeah, I was squealing over the Mr. Stacks/Grace ship in general, but you know how it is when you have more than one OTP and you can make the connection of any if them to almost anything. Lol. So my Zhurrick sensors were definitely on alert too.
The assistant/boss bond was just too fluff-tastic to ignore!
