Saw the title of this and was like "oh!? A biopic on James L Brooks!?". Let's take a moment to laugh. Anyway, even though I was wrong, I still had to give the movie a watch because the title had already hooked me. Mr Brooks is incredible, a cat and mouse styled movie with lovely twists along the way. Though I am confused, what was the point of Meeks or am I missing something? I do feel like some things may need a further explanation or I may need to rewatch it and not watch as a movie to watch as I wind down for the day. What exactly does Mr Brooks have that drives him to kill? And how exactly does it affect Jane? I would've loved to see Jane's life further explained rather than mentioned. Who exactly is Marshall? How exactly does he relate to Mr Brooks? Is Marshall, a man that Mr Brooks killed but haunts Brooks or just a character that Mr Brooks created to excuse his actions?
