Photos from today: white pasqueflower (never seen it in bloom before, just in its Dr Seuss looking seed phase), giant Indian paintbrush, cliff penstemon (a family of plants that is quickly growing on me), an old quinine conk (endangered, rare, long lived), big old Douglas fir, pennyroyal at the lake

Mount Rainier National Park
Rainy Days in the Park
The best hike ever
We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling 122!
On this day in 1899, Mount Rainier National Park was established—17 years before the National Park Service came to be. That’s 122 years of recreation, record setting snowfall, research, resource protection, and refuge from our day-to-day lives. The last 122 years have been filled with adventure, and we can’t wait for what the next 100 years has in store for us!
