how about Steggy with a "both single parents of troubled children meeting at a PTA" sort of au.... or.... something
alex are you trying to make my life HARD
For what seemed like the 10th time today, Steve sighed and sunk down in his chair a bit more. This was becoming a reoccurring event with his lovely daughter, a bad habit she probably picked up from him, and now he was stuck waiting around until the other kid’s parent showed up.
Catherine was a sweet girl, very outspoken and athletic, but sometimes she got into trouble when it came to bullies. And when Steve meant sometimes, he meant every time. He would need to talk to her again about picking fights with other people during school hours.
“Is this the principals office?”
Steve looked up and his heart may have stopped a bit. The women who owned the voice smiled at him, though at the same time looked around the hall.
‘Keep yourself calm Rogers’
“Yes it is,” he replied, and waved to the seat next to him, “you’re more then welcome to join me in the wait.”
She laughed and nodded, sitting down, “And what you may be here, if I could ask?” she said, Steve finally placing the British accent she had.
“My daughter...got into a bit of a fight with some boys picking on some kids...” he replied, scratching the back of his head.
“Sounds like a good kid.”
“Oh well, my boy got into a spat with another boy in art class, it doesn’t seem like a bit deal but you know how schools are.” she explained, earning a laugh from Steve who nodded.
“I do...I’m sorry, I didn’t introduce myself,” he held his hand out to her, “Steve Rogers.”
The women looked at the hand for a moment, then up to Steve, smiled and took it in a firm grasp, shaking it, “Peggy Carter.”
