Another Unpopular Opinion

.....Mrs Loomis is the most un-likable killer in the Scream franchise. Yes, more than Roman. I got Billy’s reasoning. I got Mickey’s. Fuck, I even got Roman’s. But Mrs Loomis always rubbed me the wrong way. I got her reasoning somewhat, her son was dead. I did, until this line and realized “Yeah, wait a minute”:

Mrs Loomis: You don’t know what it is to be a mother, to to raise a child and teach him! And guide him- Sidney: And ABANDON HIM?! Plus she killed Randy, so she can sit and spin on a dick just for that.

More Mrs Loomis Hate

So like, this got me thinking.  If Billy hadn’t done the whole “killing spree” shit, moved on, graduated, went to college and shit.... Would Mrs Loomis try to get back into his life at all? Like for real.  She literally only showed up when her son was dead.  It’s made kind of clear in the movies that Mrs Loomis left Billy years before the first movie’s events, so possibly when Billy was at least “middle school” age (again, possibly) So like, she legit left her son FOR YEARS. And then she finds out that he died and she was like “Oh yeah, I have a son, **cries**” And yes, I get it. Divorce is rough. Finding out your husband cheated on you is fucked up. But SHE LEFT BILLY. She didn’t just leave her husband, she left her child too, with literally no explanation (Billy literally had to find out from fucking Roman).  I’m not saying what Billy did was right. Far from it. But... Mrs Loomis fucking sucked, and I kind of wished the writers had Sidney go off on her ass a bit
