Today is Day 1 of our epic summer road trip. This leg of our journey was long enough to knock out an entire audiobook for @mrsroyreads417 ‘s summer reading challenge. Another book finished, this one with pressure from the library’s Overdrive app impending expiration date. This book is intended as more of a daily reader for periodic perusing, but I feel like I partook of some pearls of wisdom. Obviously, I’m a Badass, but it never hurts to be reminded. I think @jensincero and I would be friends. This makes five books complete for the summer reading challenge for @mrsroyreads417. Fear of not being able to read a book a week really motivated me to get a strong start. I have not broached the subject of audiobooks on our epic road trip with the family yet. 53 hours of driving, they have to agree on something we can all enjoy, right?! This is my 4th book finished since starting the summer reading challenge for @mrsroyreads417 and my 2nd Scalzi in the past week. This is the sequel to The Collapsing Empire which the Sci Fi book club previously read. I enjoy this series. Audiobook read by @itswilwheaton makes this a no-brainer for a top pick.
