Favorite auditory literary or cinematic moment - hmmm, this is a tough one! i guess i’ll go with harry’s speech at the final new year’s eve party from when harry met sally. that or probably a song from one of my favorite movies or plays.
Favorite sound irl - hubs voice and laugh. solo piano. acoustic guitar. rain on the window. jad and robert’s voices (radiolab). laughter of family and friends. james taylor and john mayer’s singing voices.
Sound you hate - twangy country music <--agreed, mrsseekingbalance!!, wailing babies, gross sounds, high pitched screams, repetitive dog barking (for like, an inappropriate amount of time), sirens.
Sound(s) you associate with childhood - the sounds of my mom’s perfume bottles clinking, the mister rodgers neighborhood theme song, bob ross’ voice, the tetris theme, cassette tape recorder recordings, boy band music, sounds of nature documentaries, the themes from jeopardy & mash (my mom loved them), metal screen door closing.
