So I'm deathly terrified of moths, but you take some really fantastic photos. You're very talented. I was just curious what kind of equipment you use to get that close. Don't they fly off when you get near? I don't really have a macro lens, but I know that when I tried to get that close to a bee I was taking photos of, it wasn't all too thrilled by my presence.

I use a Nikon D90, and my macro lens is Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR G. Its pretty pricey.

These moth photos, I got because my dad pointed out that the moths were resting on chairs, walls or buildings. The best advice, is try to notice when these insects take a break or rest and carefully approach. Other wise they move way to fast for a macro lens.

Practice on smaller insects like flies or bees to get more comfortable. Most won't mind as long as your moves aren't sudden.

I would bring back ska. 7. If you were a Pokemon gym leader, what type would you use? And how would you decorate your gym? Fairy-type. My gym would be dark...and sparkly. Like Crystal Cave, in PA. Yes. 8. What is your favorite species of bird? Hummingbirds. This changes. Birds are crazy, and I love them. 9. What is the most expensive item of clothing you own? I have absolutely no idea. 98% of my clothes are from thrift shops. I try not to spend more than $15 on any one article of clothing. 10. Describe, without identifying who it is, the person who is currently dearest to your heart (interpret as you wish). Beautiful, awkward, hedonistic fool. Nonjudgmental, comfortable companion. 11. If your soul/personality could be visualized with any pattern, what would it be? I'm a patchwork quilt.
