"You've got the date wrong, sinta," Valentina quietly corrects, "It's actually 1845."

Isabel quickly erases the wrong date by 200 years, as Ms. Furi clears her throat.

"Valentina, a word while your dormmates collaborate their information together," Ms. Furi climbs down from Ghost to guide her niece into the hall. In Filipino she asks, "Beloved? And toward Isabel of all people?"

Valentina lies through her teeth as she replies in language she grew up speaking. "Isabel and Rory asked how to pronounce curse words in Filipino, so I taught them words of endearment instead. They're the least likely to check their sources."

Ms. Furi narrows her eyes in suspicion before snorting in amusement. "That is true. If it had been say Layla she would have called out about an hour later."

Her aunt doesn't know the half of it. 

At some point Layla learns to be a veritable Rosetta Stone. More than once she's been the common link between a conversation where Valentina is speaking Filipino, Sophia in Spanish, and Ava in Hindi.

"Do you...how do I say this? Are you seeking companionship with Isabel?" Her aunt throws out. Had this been 15 year old Valentina before, she would have sputtered in denial about having high standards in suitors. Instead, Valentina merely nods her head in agreement. Her aunt is definitely caught off guard. "I see. Well, try not to take too long to do so and be clear in your intentions. And if you break up please try to make it less...dramatic...compared to Ms. Mendoza and Ms. Banji."

Valentina tilts her head at this. "They're not dating?" 

"And Ravenzella is Sophia's aunt twice removed." Valentina freezes but her aunt doesn't catch her, "I know fledging relationships when I see one. Those two are already a sickeningly sweet pair as it is that it will likely not take too long before they become worse somehow."

Anyways this finale and the previous, The Solaira Festival are my current favs of the entirety of the series.

Alright, the new season comes out in about two hours and I…am currently having an emotional breakdown over other things in my life. So I’m listing my delusional hopes for what will appear in the new season!

Meeting/Seeing the rest of the Sapphires’ parents. We hear tiny bits of lore about their lives before coming to Unicorn Academy, but I need designs! I wanna draw a picture of the non legacy Sapphires’ parents reactions to their kids coming home with colored hair!

At least ONE of them had to question why their child went off to a mystery boarding school where for whatever reason they couldn’t call their own child, then that child in question comes home essentially traumatized with colored hair…

…In hindsight, if this wasn’t a kids show, I feel like this would be the starter package for a parent’s worst nightmare…

Sophia x Rory moments—OKAY FINE, I KNOW THIS ONE IS DELUSIONAL! BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND, THIS SHIP GOT ME THROUGH A VERY CHAOTIC AND MENTALLY DRAINING SUMMER!

Mona Furi’s unicorn making an appearance. We saw glimpses of her unicorn in Sophia’s dream/flashback from season 2, but I want to know if Mona is still bonded with her unicorn. Her hair has a blue streak in the flashback, but is completely white in episode five.

I know with the drastic pressure in this new season to find the fairy gemstones that the Sapphires would be busy. But I really wanna see them act like regular teenagers for once and do spice of life activities, even if it’s just going on a picnic with their unicorns at the end of the season.

Possible flashbacks of the Sapphires as kids, way before they get invited to Unicorn Academy. I don’t know, I just feel like the lore of their lives before the chaos is interesting, and could really add character to their personalities and how they act as defenders of the unicorns.

This one is oddly specific and in some ways concerning, but I want Rory to have a moment where he’s genuinely angry and snaps. Again, sounds concerning out of context, but he’s my favorite in the series and I wanna see him have an emotion outside of being the comedic relief! I think it’d be a cool scene if he gets upset about the risks of being expelled since he’d already faced it once before, and how it almost lost him Storm.

Regarding the whole Solera Furi lore, I think it’d be unlikely but really cool if they did a scene where Valentina or Sophia is followed by the “ghost” of Solera Furi, as if showing how one of them carries on her legacy and her love for the unicorns.

Now that we sort of know that the Sapphires will be playing a game against Ruby Dorm, I want to know what their relations to the other dorms are. We know there’s an Emerald Dorm, but I feel like I remember seeing a yellow gemstone (Gold) that some students were sorted into. Because they had the audacity to save the academy and the students against Ravenzella which is when Ms. Hypocrite made a supposed curfew (Which feels like it’s already been broken or ignored based on the teaser clip.) that makes everyone, even Jacinta and Delia, start to hate on the Sapphires.

I think it’d be really cool to see one of the Sapphires, maybe Ava or Rory, witnessing a freshman in the new year struggle to adapt to Unicorn Academy, so they unofficially take the student under their wing and teach them what they know. (Albeit if it’s Rory, then that poor student is probably going to lose more brain cells than they came to the Academy with…)

I want to see where the graduates of Unicorn Island have gone! If Unicorn Island is where all the magic in the world comes from, does that mean the best graduates from earlier classes were sent to different places around the world to protect magical artifacts and/or creatures? Also, if Unicorn Academy has been around for assumingely 200 years or more, why weren’t more riders asked to stay on the Island to protect the unicorns and riders? Especially considering Ravenzella was still on the Island at the beginning of the series. Yes, she was in a giant crystal cage, but Ash and Crimson for whatever reason weren’t in the cage with her and were free to roam the island. So either the Unicorn Riders didn’t think to lock Ravenzella’s minions up with her, or they didn’t find them during the battle and assumed they disappeared alongside Grimoria…

…Yeah, either works unfortunately, because NOBODY at this school, except for the iconic Ms. Furi, knows what they’re doing and then get pouty when literal CHILDREN save their lives…

Oh god. Is my niece becoming a delinquent like her Sapphires? I love you Valentina but why? Sighs. Mother is just going to have more reason. That could have been anyone, especially you. This is going drive her further into being like mother. What did I do wrong? Why didn’t you tell me? Will I have to check up on them even further?
