The cool wind whipped through the window and around the room. It moved everything it touched, necklaces brushed together to create a soft tune, papers began to move as if it was praying for the wind to blow just a little harder and they could travel with it. Selina moved a glass over the top of her notes, “Not today, thank you.” She whispered to the wind, smiling at the idea that maybe one day she would get an answer back, after all why shouldn’t she. Alone in the common room for the first time was nice, the weather had taken everyone outside, after all the sun was never a given thing nor was peace apparently. She had encountered her fair few shakes in the few days she had spent at the academy. For now however she was calm, nothing was going to stress her out. No professors, no coaches, no students. Serenity.
At least that was her plan. She was beginning to make progress on copying up her notes and adding her own from a class she had attended earlier that day. She reached her hand out to grab a sheet on molecular balance when her elbow clipped the edge of the glass and sent water flying. It was in slow motion but she saw her notes begin to absorb the water, her skirt taking some of the leak away from them. She shot up and cursed rather loudly. “No no no please god not now not this.” Grabbing the glass she set it down on the floor and crouched as she began to pull the pages away from each other in the hope of saving some, “Mimicry but not control, perfect!” She slammed her note pad on the floor and a sound brought her attention to someone else. “Sorry, I had a bit of an accident.” She shrugged and turned back to her notes.
