A pout nearly formed when Skylar moved away from her, but her smile returned when he came back to her. âI know how to lure you out of bed, PopTart.â Chuckling, she kissed along his head before pressing a quick kiss to his lips. âBreakfast is getting cold. And the pups are going to learn how to get to your bacon with how long youâre taking,â she teased. Poking his side, she pressed another kiss to his lips before heading back to the kitchen, knowing heâd follow for either kisses, breakfast and coffee, or all the of the above. Sure enough, there were three begging pups looking up at where she had the bacon set on the counter. âIâm really lucky all three of you are tiny.â Though she could tell Joker was going to be a big boy compared to Harlequin and Isley. She certainly did know how to lure him out of bed. With a grunt, he finally moved off the covers and got to his feet. âAlright, Iâm up.â He quickly got dressed and went to join her in the kitchen. âMorning to you, too, he greeted the pups as he picked up his bacon and coffee then moved to give his fiancee a quick kiss. âThank you, darling.â He settled down and took a big gulp of coffee before tucking into the bacon. âMmm, itâs perfect,â he enthused while he was still chewing. Coffee, bacon and lots of kisses and cuddles from his family were all he needed to make him happy in the mornings. Things had really changed since heâd met Gina. Heâd changed.
Spotting her new favorite grump, Perdita smirked to herself and followed him to his office. âWould you and Dr. Tomago still like to come over for dinner with us?â she asked, signing along out of habit even though her husband wasnât anywhere near them. All she could think was how Pongo might end up pissing Professor King off, but he was such an irritable person, she wasnât too worried about it. Besides, she was sure Gina would rein her man in.
Skylar gave her a tight smile. He really didnât want to deal with the whole double date thing but Perdita was much more tolerable than the other staff members and Gina really wanted to âOf course. Weâd love to.â He at least tried to sound like he meant it. Maybe it wouldnât be as terrible as he was assuming.
She really hated to wake him up. Skylar was precious when he was asleep after all, but she was freaking out internally over all the texts and e-mails her sister-in-law had been sending. But it didnât mean she couldnât lay back down with her fiance and enjoy his peaceful expression. Smiling softly, she gingerly reached a hand out to brush over the chiseled cheek, still amazed at how far that theyâd come, how different it all was.
After a few moment, she scooted closer, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. âPopTart, itâs time to get up. Breakfast is ready.â The least she could do was wait until after he had his coffee to start her freaking out. âFresh coffee, big plate of bacon,â she cooed, chuckling as she shifted to wrap an arm around him, pressing kisses to his neck. He was the only person that got her talking, made her open and caring. Just how he was different with her, she was with him as well.
He let out a little groan of protest and moved away from the touch but of course, he was still half asleep. Her gentle voice beckoned him back and he rolled over to her with a sleepy grin. âMmm you had me at fresh coffee,â  he mumbled, cuddling up to her
Blissfully unaware of her internal anxiety, at least for now, he finally opened his eyes and flashed a rather contented smile. Waking up next to her made mornings much more bearable. Having fresh coffee and bacon waiting for him was a very appreciated bonus
It did mean a lot to her. She wanted to be allowed to have friends outside Dave (though he was one that Sky probably didnât want around) and the friendship he shared with Houck. But she couldnât really have friends over if they were terrified of Sky. âPlease be on your best behavior with this.âÂ
She knew just how bizarre Matt was, heâd come into her lab asking to borrow a âflame thingyâ because he wanted to reheat his cups of tea without a microwave. But it had been intriguing enough that she continued to interact with him.Â
âThank you, PopTart,â she said, her feet no longer touching the ground. The levitation definitely made the extreme height distance easier. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she gave him a quick kiss. âIâll request no unbirthday songs.â And hope that Matticus knew just who it was that was really requesting he not sing them. Her offer still stood that Skylar could escape to their bedroom. She just hoped he did and not to the kitchen to start up the microwave. An angry protective dragon was not what she needed in her home after all. That was one point she should probably remind Skylar of though.Â
PopTart!/Sexy Lion
He could manage it. It was just a matter of willingness. Skylar was free to see his friends whenever he wished to, so it was only fair Gina could do the same with Skylar getting jealous or  scaring them off. âI promise. I will be on my best behaviour.â
Skylar smiled softly, leaning ever so slightly into the kiss.  âThank you, that is very much appreciated.â At least he could escape afterwards if needs be.This really didnât have to be as awful as Skylar was imagining it to be.If he behaved badly heâd neevr hear the end of it, and quite right too. âI will do this, but I donât want anything in return.â I am serious, I owe you this. I have not been completley fair to you in the past,â Or Dave...âregarding your friends, I mean. I love you, I trust you, and I will prove that to you by doing this with no expectations of anything in return.â Very few people saw the softer side of Skylar, but he liked it that way. And somehow he just knew he was going to regret this...Â
The past few days had been better. Sky was surprisingly good at keeping Gina calm. Usually it was the other way around, but it was wonderful to see it went both ways. Her apparent good mood wasnât obvious to any who didnât know her. But it was clear to those that loved her.Â
Itâs a shame that such good moods couldnât last. The pups were all curled up under her desk as she shut the door to the tower office, her laptop cradled in her arm. More questions for Skylar meant sheâd be trekking down to his office. His was the tower office directly below hers. To keep from disturbing him, sheâd often levitate around, just to be considerate to her beau when she knew he was in.Â
Seeing the door ajar, Gina didnât wait long after knocking before walking inside. The two men standing in the center of Skylarâs office were familiar but still had her standing there, brows furrowed as she tried to place them. âWho are you?âÂ
Of course, as soon as the question fell from her lips, she remembered helping Sky unpack and the pictures he had put away⊠âNoâŠfuckingâŠway.â Her dark eyes were wide as she looked up at exact replicas of his father and brother. âSky?â What in the world was going on? His family, aside from his sister-in-law and nephew, werenât among the livingâŠso how were his father and brother there?Â
Skylarâs job was stressful enough without the wedding being piled on top. Now they were both working on it, it seemed much less of a chore, as it should be. Even though he still had work to do, Skylar liked being in his office away from everyone. There were very few people Skylar liked having in his office, everyone else simply annoyed him. Heâd taken a break to stretch his legs and stop himself from getting a migraine. After Gina had found him almost falling asleep at his desk one time, heâd promised her he would. When he came back, there was someone else was sitting in his chair. âAh, there you are.â The figure greeted him like nothing had happened, like he hadnât been dead for almost six years. Skylarâs blood ran cold. He couldnât even find the words to speak. What do you say when your dead brother is sitting in your desk chair? Then another voice spoke, his father. âWhatâs wrong with you, boy? You look like youâve seen a ghost?â Skylar felt his knees wobble, instinctively grabbing the door frame to stop him keeling over.
Matthew jumped up from the desk to catch his young brother, guiding him over to the chair. Skylar collapsed into it, running his hands down his face. He didnât even hear the knock at the door. âYou can see them too?â When Gina acknowleged them too he was relived that he wasnât going mad, or perhaps trapped in a nightmare. âI- I have no idea...â                           âOf course she can see us, boy. This exactly why I couldnât leave the factory to you, you simply wouldnât be able to handle it.âT Matthew seemed amused more than anything. He had seen what his fatehr seemd to have missed, the ring on Skylarâs finger. âNice ring. Is she the lucky bride? Iâm a little hurt you didnât invite your own famly to your wedding.Or was it one of those in the moment Vegas weddings?â The smug look on his face, and the mocking tone in hi voice earned him a glare from his young brother. âShe certainly looks the type.â the berating contiuned, only his father was crueler. âPlease tell me sheâs not, I do hope you have better standards than that.â Skylar looked as shocked as the two men standing before him by the sound of his fist connecting with the desk and the following outburst. âDonât talk about her like that!â  The reaction was almsot instant. All three of them looked just as stunend by it. He just couldnât stand anyone talking about her like that, heâd done enough of it when they first met.
âStay calm. It can probably smell fear.â Gina teased as she pet the rabbit that had her beau cowering in the doorway of the house.
âDonât-donât pet it! It may biteâŠâ He tried to reach out for her but he was terrified of the small creature. âHow did it even get here? Qhat does it want?âŠPlease just get rid it!â Who knew Professor King would be scared of cute little bunny rabbit?
After so many years, Gina was completely used to Skylarâs sarcasm and attitude. Sheâd been at the receiving end of so much worse when they first met. âNo one will know about the rabbits. Weâre off campus, no oneâs here but us.â Gina motioned to the house. True, Professor Rabbins lived just up the hill from them, but she wasnât around. âItâs not like Iâd tell. Did I tell anyone about the pet store?â She loved his aversion to certain animals, it was cute. âThe better secret is that tattoo.â Actually, that was her favorite secret. Her body was littered with them, but hisâŠwell, that one tattoo had been a lovely surprise, no matter how much sheâd had to wrestle with him to let her see it the first time. âWell if you think itâs still a joke, Iâll just put it away.â She wondered if heâd really pass on it. Then again, she hadnât been sure how itâd go over. Pulling out his favorite dress would probably go a lot more smoothly. âIf you donât hurry up, Iâll feed your dinner to the pups!â she called, three excitedly yipping pups echoing her.
đ»đđ đżđđđ
That did make him feel better, he just didnât want to be mocked by everyone if it ever got out. Okay so there was that too, he wasnât so fond of birds either which led to him getting into an argument with a rather clever parrot. âNo, you didnât.â Skylarâs eyes widened, he only had one tattoo after a riduclous drunken dare and Gina was the only one who knew about it. He very desperatley wanted to keep it that way, too. âYou tell anyone about that and I will defintley get it removed.â he threatened. He wouldnât actually, he knew how much she loved it and it would be very painful anyway. âWell, weâll see.â he smiled, thatâs all he could say. âAlright, Iâm coming!â he called back.
A sigh escaped when his face fell. âSky, please.â Her large amber eyes looked up at him, hands running over the front of his shirt. âHeâs my friend. Canât you do it for me? Itâs not like I wonât make it up to you. Donât I always?â Gina tilted her head as she wondered how badly she owe him for that particular dinner. She imagined itâd be very bad. Matticus wasâŠeccentricâŠextremely so. And she could only imagine how much Skylar would want to do him physical harm. Then she would have to intervene. Her goal for the night was not to accidentally short out lights or shoot energy bolts or anything of the like. That would be wonderful. And to keep Skylar away from the microwave. An image of him starting it just to make Matt dive under the table came to mind. âYou will know when I want to torture you,â she murmured, voice dropping as she fisted the front of his shirt. âNo, no choice. But if he gets on your nerves enough, you can run to our bedroom. Deal?âÂ

Skylar sighed, it clearly meant a lot to her and he hated to see her unhappy. Besides, he didnât doubt that she would make it up to him as she promsied. Still, he really wasnât looking forward to it. Matt was just so free-spirited and down right bizzare that Skyalr really had trouble tolerating him. Knowing the calculus proffessor had a fear of small appliances like microvaves, Skylar would definitley use that against him.  Skylar contemplated it for a minute, and eventually another heavy sigh fell from his lips. âAlright,  deal. Iâll do it and I will try to be nice but he had better not start singing at me. I despise that ridculous birthday song.â Apparntly there were three hundred and sixty four unbirthdays in a year and there was a rather catchy song to celebrate the occasion. Skylar was not a fan.
âThatâs right. You are my moron.â Her finger pointed to the ring adorning his finger. âMine.â Chuckling, she nodded. âThe pups will help me get you safely to sleep.â Well, he made her feel better. For a moment, she did think she was already a nagging wife before they were even married. The thought chilled her to the bone. As for worrying about one another, it was a wonderful thing that they did. Neither was very good at taking care of themselves after all. âSeems like weâre married already then. Save me a poofy dress and just call it done?â she joked. Gina would do the horrendous thing of donning a poofy pink princess dress if he asked her. As long as he was at the end of the aisle, it didnât matter what she wore.Â
When he rose, she smiled and took his hand in hers. âI donât trust your sleepy butt to drive us home. So I might have already brought the fur babies to campus so we could stay at your old place.â Smiling, she took a step closer, her fingers squeezing his. âI figured tomorrow we could give Houck another earful. Iâm sure heâs missed it. Maybe make me short out his lights again?âÂ
PopTart!/Sexy Lion
âI am, always and forever.â  he smiled. That ring was a symbol of it and Skylar loved that. Skylar chuckled. âOf course, but do I still get to kiss the bride?â Smooth as always, Mr. King. Skylar knew poofy and pink wa the opposite of Gina, but he had come to love that about her. He wouldnât mind what she wore, just as long as she was happy.Â
âThat is probably best.â He was very tired, it was just as well he still kept his appartment for times like this. Skylar arched a brow, a wide grin spreading across his lips. âThat sounds like fun.â he grinned. âIâm sure he has missed it, but I would love to find out.â
When he picked her up, Gina wrapped her arms tight around him. âMy hero!â Another fit of drunken giggles erupted when he made the comment that she was more adorable. âI am not adorable! I am a fearsome creature of darkness! Rawr.â But it just ended in more laughs as she turned her head to bite his shoulder. âSee? Iâm fearsome. Now whereâs my book?â Her words were slurred as she looked towards the ceiling, as if itâd be stuck to it. She levitated, but that didnât mean all her belongings would be floating up there.Â
đ»đđ đżđđđ
âYes I am, and you are my damsel in distress.â She was far from that, Skylar knew full well she could take care of herself. Â âNo, compeltley fearsome.â He tried to sound as serious as possible, stopping a laugh from slipping out. Too late, she was jut too cute and funny. Â âYou must have dropped it. I can bring it up once I put you to bed.â
His comment about him in a wedding dress cause Gina to laugh. At least heâd begun to make that anger truly wash away. âYou wanna calm me down? How about we go for a drive?â Her dark brows wiggled. Of course she knew how he felt about her driving. Gina was a wonderful driver, she just had a thing for speed and terrifying tricks. There were still bits of Skylarâs nails in the handle of her passenger door after the last time. And the time before. And so on.Â
Only for Skylar would she agree to a traditional wedding. Gina would be happy to just go to Vegas or the courthouse or something. But it wasnât just her day, it was Skylarâs as well, and she wanted her man happy. âSoâŠI donât have to wear white?â The mention of her sister-in-law and what sheâd done to piss Gina off made the physicist sigh. âWellâŠshe started badgering me about a date, and dresses, and colors and flowers. Iâm not girly enough for this. My idea of makeup is smearing black eye makeup all over and black on my lips. Done. Okay, she wants to do spa stuff and what am I going to do for the bridesmaids and who is my maid of honor? The only maid of honor I can think of is Dave. Even though I know she wants it. I canât decide on flowers, or dresses or anything. If itâs left to me, itâs going to look like a funeral. At least, thatâs what she said to all my choices. Okay?â Gina took a shuddering breath as she hugged him tighter. That was more than she usually spoke at once, but once she started, itâd been difficult to stop. âWhat do you see your wedding day being?âÂ
Unmistakable fear appeared in Skylarâs eyes, he would rather do something else but he did want to cheer her up. âIf you really want to.â Skylar smiled at his bride to be, brushing a strand of hair from her face. âNo, you donât have to wear white.â Heâd be lying if he said he didnât care, but she meant more to him than a traditional wedding. âOf course, I would like you to, but I would never enforce it.â
Skylar really hated seeing her so stressed, but he could see why she was. Everything she described seemed like the opposite of her, that was enough to stress anyone out. He wrapped his arms around her, brows furrowed as he thought about the question. âWell,a traditional church wedding is something iâve always thought about. My beautiful bride walking down the aisle in a white dress, a three tier cake, and a horse drawn carriage. But that was the old me, and itâs certainly not you. But thatâs okay.â He sighed, taking her hands in his. âGina, I would rather you wear a tuxedo and be completley comfortable, than wear a white dress and be uncomfortable. This is your day as well as mine. I wonât pressure you into doing anything you donât want to, and I wonât let anyone else. As I said, we can do this together.â He paused for a moment, trying to remember what sheâd said. Letâs start with the colours. I know how much you like black but you like purple too, right?â
It had been a while since James had nabbed his favorite drinking buddy, taken him out of his loving fianceeâs arms. And he understood. The last time they had stayed out drinking, Gina had gotten drunk with Dave Katz and shenanigans had ensued, leaving behind a very jealous Skylar. So after conspiring with the Physicist that promised to be on her best behavior, James went to Skylarâs office with a bottle of rum and two glasses. âItâs been too bloody long, old friend,â he said, setting the items on the other manâs desk.Â
âYour lovely bride-to-be has assured me there will be no ass-grabbing, literal or otherwise. So drink and do tell me how the bleeding Hell it is you came to have a diamond ring on your finger.â Sure, it had multiple diamonds, but it still confused the fuck out of James. He dropped into the chair across from Skylar and opened the bottle, pouring some of the amber liquid for himself before setting the bottle down once more. âI need something to take my mind off the endless essays and whimpering imbeciles traipsing through my door. Your domestic bliss seems to be a perfect distraction,â he said with that charming grin of his.Â

Skyalr couldnât be more happy to see him, it really had been too long. âIt certainly has, old boy.â Sklyar let out a small chuckle, more at the mention of the ring than the other part. That was something he wanted to forget. âWell, she said if she had to wear a rock so did I.â The memory of seeing Gina down on one knee in a tux floated back into Skylarâs memory. âI had been meaning to propse for a while, but I never found the right moment. Gina found the ring in my pocket and decided to beat me to the punch. I really shouldnât have expected any less from her, but I was so surprised I didnât quite know what to say.âÂ
He poured some rum into his own glass, placed the botle back donand sat back with it. âWell, we have three puppies now. Gina came home with Joker one day and he was just too cute to turn away.  So now my evenings consist of musical sing alongs, the occasional take out and puppy snuggles on the couch.â He smiled softly, it was strange how he barely remembered wha life was like with out Gina and the pups. âItâs certainly not how I pictured my life to be, but I wouldnât have it any other way.
âYou should love me because of my science jokes. Iâm hilarious. But Iâll keep them saved up to share with the other science nerds. Or maybe the Calculus professor.â That reminded Gina. âSo I mightâve invited him and the Occult Studies professor over for dinner.â It was better than Skylar trying to strangle Matt in public. That would be unfortunate, and she knew her fiancee well enough to know how he might take Mattâs behavior. Â
âYou are indeed my darling, definitely the comedian out the both of us. Or rather comedienne.â he corrected himself. Sklarâ face dropped. He could have sworn heâd had a nightmare about that once. âOh, marvellous.â he drawled. There were very few people that Skylar could stand, Gina being one of them. Matt Hattley, however, was someone he absolutely couldnât stand to be around .He was everything Skylar hated, and he always tried to talk to him. Well, he tried to talk to everyone but Skylar had no patience to deal with him. He didnât know how he would be able to manage dinner with him. âDo I have a choice, or do you just want to torture me?â
âStay calm. It can probably smell fear.â Gina teased as she pet the rabbit that had her beau cowering in the doorway of the house.
âDonât-donât pet it! It may biteâŠâ He tried to reach out for her but he was terrified of the small creature. âHow did it even get here? Qhat does it want?âŠPlease just get rid it!â Who knew Professor King would be scared of cute little bunny rabbit?
âIâll make sure to throw myself in front of you if a rabbit tries to bite you, okay?â When he asked if heâd be laughing at her. âIf this were three years ago, youâd be dying of laughter and saying rude comments about it if the roles were reversed.â Oh, Gina was absolutely serious about the outfit. Sheâd gotten the idea from one of their co-workers that was an absolute doll about it. âYou donât have to be embarrassed with me, Sky.â A light bulb went on in her head. âYou realize that if a rabbit bit you, youâd probably end up transferring the wound anyways? Remember the glass on the floor?â The memory sent a bit of pain through her foot. Of course, it was her ability that had made all the lights explode. âYou donât like my jokes?â Pouting playfully, she moved away from Skylar and back into the house. âI guess the outfit would be considered a joke too, then?â she called over her shoulder.
âMy hero...â Skylar drawled sarcastically. Gina was clearly having far too much fun at his expense. She was right, though. He would have been done the same if the tables were turned, but he wasnât that person anymore. âOkay, I suppose youâre right.â Skylar smiled at that, he really didnât. He knew he could relax around her. âI know, I just canât help but feel a litte foolish.â Everyone has fears, but being scared of rabbits really wasnâ going to help his reputation. Ah, his power of course. âYes, I keep forgetting about that.â He said thoughtfully, staring at his hand. âStill, youâre the nearest person to me and  donât want to hurt you again.â He had felt so guilty the first time it happened, but he hadnât known what it was. Now he had some understanding of it he could at least try to control it. âI just donât like it when your jokes are on me.â He thought for a moment. âWell, I did think you were joking when you first mentioned it.â
The tiny physicist giggled and nodded. Her body levitated off the couch for a moment before dropping back down, sending Gina into another fit of giggles. âI canât fly, Pop Tart!â Well, she couldnât levitate at the moment. Her arms went up to motion her beau to pick her up. If levitation was failing her, walking might be out as well. The levitation came in handy since he was fourteen inches taller than her. Good thing she wasnât trying for a kiss right then.Â
Skylar watched her levitate, instinctively moving to catch her as she fell back down. He let out a sigh, at least she landed on the soft couch and not the hard floor. âWell, Iâll carry you,â he replied, lifting her off the couch. âYouâre even more adorable when youâre drunk you know.â he grinned, heading to the bedroom.
âSky!â Gina practically tore the cream colored jacket from her shoulders as she kicked the door shut behind her with a bone colored heel. The impractical shoes were tossed next. Even the sound of her pups bounding happily towards her wasnât enough to ease the fury coursing through her tiny frame. âIâm not wearing white! This is bullshit!â The flowery blouse made her gag as she tossed it in the general direction of the couch, heading towards their bedroom. âThat woman is a pain in the ass. I canâtâŠI donât have enough girl in me to handle this!âÂ
Her sister-in-law was a major nuisance. And it wasnât as though Gina had offered an invitation to the infuriating woman. Sheâd basically just invited herself down. At least she hadnât tried to stay in Ginaâs house, or they wouldâve been staying on campus in Skyâs old apartment to hide away.Â
Finding her fiance, she practically ripped the horrendous pencil skirt off as she hurried to the dresser to dig out black shorts and one of her huge band shirts that hung off her shoulder almost indecently. âI hate this so much. Can you be the girl this time? She has all these questions that I donât have any idea how to answer.â Wedding planning wasnât her forte. Hell, she was content to just enjoy the engagement for a while. The thought of poofy white dresses and endless bouquets of sickeningly sweet smelling flowers was absolutely terrifying. It was her newest nightmare (among other things) and she just didnât want to deal with any of it. âWhy is it all on the girl?â The ire in her voice had dissipated, it was quiet and she just sounded defeated more than anything else as she dropped onto the edge of the bed as the pups tried to jump up as well.Â
the-scarred-king:
Skylar jumped at the sound of Gina yelling his name, followed by the door being slammed shut.  That was a clear indication that she was not in a good mood. It sounded like the wedding plans were stressing her out.  He sighed heavily, wondering how he could calm her down.  âOf course, I'll look gorgeous in a wedding dress.â he chuckled. He moved over to her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. âCalm down, you wonât be able to if youâre stressing yourself out over it.âÂ
Skylar had always wanted a traditional wedding, but Gina was far from traditional. Heâd learned to love her and her unique sense of style, and he didnât want her to pretend to be something she wasnât just for him. âItâs not, even if it feels like it,â Skylar assured her. âI am here to help you with this.Whatever questions or concerns she has, she can bring to both of us. This is supposed to be a happy occasion. I donât want you to stress over it, alright?â He leant down to kiss her, bring his hands down to around her waist. âNow what exactly did she say thatâs got you like this?â
A dark brow arched in challenge as Gina awaited a response. That was simple enough. âDonât sound like Iâm grounding you, moron. Iâm gonna cuddle you and kiss you and take a nap with you.â Leaning forward again, she tenderly pressed her lips to Skylarâs. âYou already sound like a married man, PopTart. Am I already a nagging wife?â she murmured against his lips. It was a terrifying thought. Really, it was selfish. She wanted to steal Skylar and cuddle him until he finally got the sleep he needed. He was so cute when he was asleep, and she was sick of restless nights because he was grading and not where he belongedâŠin bed with her. âLetâs go.â Pushing him back, she hopped from the desk and held her left hand out to him, wiggling her fingers, enjoying the weight of the ring on her digit. The shine of the ring adorning Skyâs finger made that grin on her face grow.
PopTart!/Sexy Lion
"Iâm your moronâ He chuckled.  She was adorable even when she was insulting him âThat sounds lovely, kisses and cuddles while I gently drift to sleep. How could I refuse?â He returned the kiss, not needing to bend down as he was still sat down. âNot nagging, just concernedâ he smiled. âI know you worry, Iâm the same about you.â He knew for a fact heâd be the same if the roles were reversed.Perhaps they worried about each other too much. It was nice to have someone to care about him, with Gina cuddled up next to him he never had to worry about sleep. Skylar knew he should have been in bed hours ago, and the hours had gone by quickly. He glanced to her outstretched hand, returning her smile. âYes dearâ he laughed, rising to take her hand.
