On the occasion of Valentine's Day but more importantly in the age where things are uncertain for foreigners like us, the 'We were Strangers once too' project by Times Square Arts and Urban design Forum is a bold statement of reassurance inspired by the former President Obama.The simple-yet-effective art installation in Times Square (Go check it out!) consists of 33 metal poles inscribed to represent the national origins and shifting populations of foreign-born New York City residents. The data is based on the 2015 census.
