Y'all say what you want about Jro but at least post comics hot takes are amusing and hilarious while Mscott's takes involves "Knockout is fatphobic" and "I rather not write happy gay stuff to balance out the toxic stuff i write" and now "the ideal w*ndscream dynamic is when Starscream tries to manipulate and gas light her."

I'm just grateful that at least some idw writers don't showcase their abuse obsession on main like jfc the bar is so low

It just me or is that people tend to rags on MScott a lot and I’ve seen them call her homophobic yet the other TF writers who are male get less flack? Like sure MScott’s writing do have problems and that people did hate the guy who made Spotlight Arcee but I find it really concerning that MScott gets more hate from people like they really hate so much than the other writers

She definitely gets way more hate than all the other writers and honestly I wouldn’t be at all surprised if (internalised) misogyny factored into it. The clique of people who hate on her like to paint themselves as so ultra woke when the reality is they’re anything but; they’re a bunch of petty, small-minded bullies.

it really wouldn’t be my cup of tea but honestly i think there could be ways to handle windblade/starscream in a way that sensitively explored the unhealthiness of the dynamic? but 1) the comic would’ve had to go a completely different way for me to believe that windblade could get involved with starscream at all, and 2) it really could not be written by someone who just obviously thinks unhealthy relationships are hot

Mscott has so many bad takes now and it’s really disappointing. I used to like TAAO the first read through because I didn’t catch all the bad implications when I read it, but then she comments with KnockOut being fatphobic and fat shaming Breakdown, like... Idk. So unprofessional and rude for someone like her who is possibly a role model to others in the fandom and has over 5,000 follower count.

Like you can have your opinions, that’s fine, but with the amount of influence she has, she needs to check what she says. KO fat shaming is not okay, and some of her past comments and writings are questionable too.
