COVID-19 RESPONSE FROM HOT IMPORT NIGHTS The health and safety of every person at our events is of the utmost importance to us. We are carefully monitoring the evolving COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation through the CDC, WHO, and local health authorities and will continue to take a proactive approach to keep our community healthy. In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, earlier today Governor Gavin Newson took emergency action to enact social distancing measures across the State of California, including a ban on public gatherings of 250 people or more. With having attendance in the thousands at Hot Import Night events, this temporary ban affects the upcoming Saturday March 21, 2020 event at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. With that said, we have postponed the event, however have great news that the rescheduled date will be Saturday July 11, 2020 which happens to be the anniversary of the very first Hot Import Nights two decades ago in Southern California. All vendors, vehicle registrations, ticket holders, and participants will be credited to this event which is expected to be bigger and better and in a much safer time frame from the current health crisis which is currently taking place. We appreciate all the kind and loving messages about wanting the show to go on, and it will, in a big way! So keep the passion brewing in the community, stay safe, and we'll see you back at HIN this Summer 2020. SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California public health officials this evening issued an updated policy on gatherings to protect public health and slow the spread of COVID-19. The state’s public health experts have determined that gatherings should be postponed or canceled across the state until at least the end of March. Non-essential gatherings must be limited to no more than 250 people, while smaller events can proceed only if the organizers can implement social distancing of 6 feet per person. Gatherings of individuals who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 should be limited to no more than 10 people, while also following social distancing guidelines. #HINLA2020 #mshin2020 #hotimportnights (at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9p6QprHkTp/?igshid=1gmp7pn19ygbo
