My absolute favorite moment in all of fandom was removed in the tumblr purge, and the OP doesn't seem to be on tumblr anymore to protest the flagging, so I'm reposting it here with all offending female-presenting nipple and hint of butt crack edited out for the tender populace's sensibilities. Back in 2009, when I was a baby manip maker in the Doctor Who fandom I mad, on my roommate at the time's request, a manip of the Tenth Doctor making out with his clone, posted to LiveJournal. Later on, in about 2013 I think, I heard the most exciting news in my fannish life, that @thereneverwas had liked my manip so much they did a real life recreation at a Con! Words cannot describe how flattered I was/am, or that someone had liked my Photoshop messing around so much they wanted to do their own version of it! We talked briefly in a group chat and they were super cool and awesome. The text of @theneverwas's original post was as follows: I met some Ten/TenToo shippers here at Gally1, and we talked about the famous and hot Tencest manip. The three of us decided to cosplay it; one of us would shoot the photos and the other two would model. We spent about 60-90 mins looking for a Ten cosplayer who wore a similar size to me and was willing to loan us his brown pinstriped trousers for a photoshoot. We spent at least 20 minutes dealing with framing and lighting before taking a single shot. The following half hour was 20 minutes of giggling and 10 minutes of actual photography.
