The End of Time - Kara & Lexa

People were living in the ruins, and that’s where she needed to be. Kara trudged through the forest, following what was left of a road that looked to be well-used. She kept to herself, ducking into the shadows when she’d hear a horse or people approaching. For some reason she didn’t want to meet anyone until she was inside the city, and she couldn’t think of a sane reason why and gave up trying.

“I’m crazy,” she mumbled. And who could blame me? I saw the world die. With her cape, the only thing from her past to survive wrapped around her, over rags she’d found scavenging along the way, she stumbled into Polis.

Dozens of people stared at her. They were like the others she’d seen since she dug her way out of the Fortress of Solitude—wary, powerful, heavily-armed, and dangerous. The welcome wagon was a trio of warriors out of a Mad Max movie with swords and axes that quickly surrounded her. “I’m Kara. I won’t hurt anyone. I swear. I’m just hungry.”

No wonder soya's so attached to joh. Also, it was nice seeing rena let loose. She's been acting as the straight man, so it was cool that her personality got to really shine this chapter. She's spunky. More spunky rena please.

this is --- too fucking much. it was meant to be a laugh, a thrill ride. it’s not like any of them were gonna spend ACTUAL time in prison for their petty crimes, so who cares if they break out of their jail cells? the high was the only reason they picked her up along the way, adrenaline pumping too hard for them to care about the blood staining her clothes.

but goddamn, they should’ve asked, should’ve used some common sense, ‘cause now their mugshots are flashing up on the shitty motel tv right next to a picture of her, the words MURDER SUSPECT in big bold letters beneath it. goldie didn’t sign up for that, no fucking way. it’s just the two of them right now, the other girls out getting breakfast  ( and shit, here’s hoping no one recognises them or they’re all screwed )  and she turns on red, eyes wild and voice LOUD.

   “why the FUCK are they calling you a murder suspect? the fuck did you do?!”
