THEATRE. GUYS I HAVE MISSED THIS

Sooooo tonight was awesome. Ran into imthinkingofwhatsarahsaidd at a local production of Bells Are Ringing.

This lovely cast included: everything-is-bill-the-pony and mssuttonfoster

But it was great. I have missed theatre SO MUCH. And I got to run into a TON of my friends, and I got lots of hugging. And, as happens every time, i swooned over the male lead. It happens fairly often. :P And I got to see the girl that's basically my younger sister! Freaking love the girl :) I mean, she may be taller than me and stronger and picks me up to hug me whenever she sees me, but I love Mailys.

Anyway, it was a marvelous evening. I got to see the people I have been missing soooo much, and officially decided on one of my summer shows (All Shook Up, here I come!) and life is darn good.

Favorite song:

Ummmmm between Waltz for Eva and Che and Lament. I'd probably go with Lament. It's just incredibly telling to Eva's heart, and you can choose what that heart is: she was either truly devoted to her people, or she was truly devoted to her façade. I'd like to think it's the former.

Favorite character:

So...pretty much Eva, amiright. Although I'd LOVE to see Che as a female, honestly. Or I'll just use a Che song as an audition piece for Narrator one day.

Favorite scene:

Waltz for Eva and Che. It's kind of hot, to be honest. But poignant.

Anything you want to rant about?

um yeah how i HAVEN"T SEEN THE STAGE VERSIONnnnnnnnnn ugh so upset i just want it to go on tour already and it's leaving ny and just ugh

also my voice teacher played eva and AGHHHHHHHHHHH I FANGIRLED

Favorite ship?

Not a whole lot to ship in this show. I'm kind of on the "Eva and Perón didn't really love each other" boat, so I guess no one.

Um that's a really wide range. I'm going to go with a 85 I guess? Pretty much only because it's not Next to Normal whatever.

Something you'd like to change:

Some of the songs could be less...weird I guess? Just some of the sung lines may have worked better if they were just said.
