my poetry

this semester i’ve been on fire. since its napowrimo, i’ve been really focusing on channeling my feelings, insecurities, and emotions into my poetry. i’ve written on a lot of things, but by the end of this month i want to have 30 new poems written. a lot of my current poems are about my pov as a young black man, but i have so many other things to write about.

one day i’ll perform it at a spoken word. one day i’ll have the confidence to publish it in a book of my own. 

and in that way,

i haven’t changed a bit.
