itsy bitsy talk

The costume party, finally, oh the thing Miso had looked oh so forward to. For sure Miso had enjoyed this Halloween event. This event had been fun for Miso. There was a lot of things to do, and even though everything hadn’t exactly gone as planned, Miso had still enjoyed the event. And now it was time for the fun part, the costume party. The time where Miso had the chance to both dress up and drink.

Miso was enjoying talking to people, and now he had found another person he wanted to start a conversation with. “Hey” Miso takes a sip of his drink. “Enjoying the costume party?” Miso smiles as he leans against the wall “it’s loud in here, isn’t it?”

(past) difficulties

move-in day was so stressful.

he had already had a run in earlier in the day and he had managed to get back to his dorm in one piece. he was saddened by the fact that he had no roommate, he was sort of hoping someone would eventually room with him. but maybe it was for the best. he wouldn’t have to lie to anyone when he would have to come in and stare at him icing his feet or his thighs. at least there was that.

once he managed to move him inside he was exhausted, so he decided to head to the cafeteria. it was the closest thing that he could manage to hobble to. so he set out, legs shaking as he took his time making his way down the hallways. he hated how much he took his legs for granted when they didn’t have the marks of a dowel plastered over them, when he was able to just walk from here to there without a care in the world.

he rounds the landing of the second set of stairs, basically clinging onto the railing. he didn’t really notice anyone behind him so when he hears footsteps he flinches to the side, pressing his shoulder into the wall. when he does look over he sees someone looking confused at him. so he does what he does best: ramble.

“i.. i slipped at my home yesterday and my leg hurts so that’s why i’m taking a long time sorry you can go ahead of me it’s not a big deal.”

apples to apples

It was Malia’s first time ever bobbing for apples, so she’d been watching others carefully while waiting in line, not wanting to mess up. Having only seen it done in movies, Malia had hoped that it would be as easy as it seemed— no one wanted to be that person who held up the line. And while she knew Taejun would be as encouraging and patient as he always was with her, Malia’s pride was on the line. 

Once her turn had arrived, the girl tied her hair back to keep it out of her way as she dipped her head downwards. It was seemingly impossible to not get her face wet, but Malia still did her best, gripping her teeth onto the apple closest to her. Inwardly, she was kind of glad that her Nezuko mouth piece had somehow prepped her for this. 

Triumphantly, she rose from the surface, removing her apple from her mouth and into her palm. 

“Should I wait until you get your apple before throwing our peels in and seeing what letter we get?” She asked, her smile still beaming from managing to obtain an apple so quickly. “Unless there’s a certain letter you’re hoping to get and don’t want me seeing.” Malia teased with a light hearted giggle.

another loss and this time alec was even angrier if that was possible; it wasn’t but he pretended to be. because every loss was like a failure and he could try to find countless reasons for stuff to not work out but in the end it was just that the other team played better. somehow that thought alone soothed him.

however, he knew there was someone else who wasn’t feeling as soothed as he could and that was the very reason why alec didn’t mind leaving the match as soon as levi caught the snitch, dodging group hugs and ‘we’ll do better next match’ messages to take a quick trip downtown. it wasn’t that quick because people were around shopping but he did return, dirty from the match and tired from shopping, accomplished at last.

“i won’t take no for answer and you better stop blaming yourself!” he announced as soon as he entered the dorm, finding taejun sat on the floor of their living room, looking like a lost puppy. “i brought pizza and alcohol so you better kiss me and thank me.” he flirtatiously offered him a smile and a wink, sitting right in front of his roommate.

Yoojin stared, hard.

He felt like judging the suseong student but it could come with a result he wasn’t too inclined to face, after all the other male was a quidditch player and he was pretty sure most people knew how much that was a very explosive combo if he had to take action.

So he just stared and wondered why in hell that guy would do that.

“This is going to sound controversial but I think that went well.”

Yoojin heard him say, humor in his voice but he wasn’t smiling; neither was the Hwaseong junior, that would just choose that moment to cross his arms and get closer, looking into the nearly black cauldron that smelled like rotten tomatoes and burnt sugar.

“Sure thing, if your goal was to set the whole kitchen on fire or poison your girlfriend - or boyfriend -“, he added in a lower, deeper voice, “Care to inform me why you decided it was a good idea to come here in the middle of the night to mix whatever thing you put in there?”

“Something...stupid ?“ The boy tilts his head sideways, confused. “I’m pretty sure the answer is nothing. I mean, I’m kind of amazing, if you haven’t noticed.” Kevin smiled confidently, followed by a boisterous laugh. “I don’t think I’m even capable of doing anything stupid.“

“this is silly-- of course i missed you more, taejun. the tangerines were just an added bonus.” she grinned hoping it would assure the other a little bit. “but you know what’s weird? we’ve spent almost every day together for seven years of our lives. not many can say that. it felt so weird spending that next year alone, just traveling and getting lost with the rest of the world. i ended up really missing that consistency we had growing up so i was really glad to have found you again here at mokseong. and yes, i’m still sorry for ‘abandoning’ you. next time, let’s take a trip together!”
