Looking into Finger Lakes Basin below and the Goddard Terrane in the distance. Mt. Goddard is the dark, high peak in the center. I scouted the descent--it follows a steep chute at first, which is tricky in a few spots, especially with a big pack, but it’s doable. Mt. Goddard, 13,563, left center. I’m working my way down into Finger Lakes Basin, and around the ridge in the foreground then heading up into the Goddard Creek drainage, where I’ll rendezvous with my brother. He was expecting me last night, so it’s imperative that I make it there today. I estimate it will take me at least 4 more hours to get there.
