What began as Megumi and Naoki, along with their two children Kiyoshi and Nanami, has slowly grown over the years. They had a final child, little Sugi, and in 1303 Kiyoshi married Kaori Nishidake. Sugi passed off smallpox the following year, but soon the Ito grandchildren began to be born. Kaori had little Rei in 1305, Fumio in 1306, Mei in 1308, and finally Asuka in 1309, though the couple will surely have more children in the coming decade. Megumi had a terrible fall and passed away in 1308 and Naoki rather unexpectedly married only a year later to Bucki Brock.
Naoki knows his remarriage seemed hasty and unexpected - to outsiders and his family - but he's always wanted to build a large, successful family and feared even with Kiyoshi's growing brood something might happen to end their line. He's confident Bucki will give him more children soon, ensuring that the Itos will live on for a hundred years or more.

Though Bucki is not from the area originally, her father was a renowned khan and she practically grew up in the saddle. She came to Mt Komorabi after learning about the unusual mountaintop there and was quickly won over by the handsome Naoki. He spoke so highly of her beauty, of the importance of family... it was she had finally found someone who understood her.

Kiyoshi was actually the one who led Bucki on a trek up the mountainside, inadvertently introducing her to his father. He isn't upset that he has a new stepmother, he's a romantic to his core, it just surprised him. But he's more focused on his life with Kaori and the family they've built together.
Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast
Traits: Adventurous, Romantic, Music Lover
Kaori has been madly in love with Kiyoshi since she was a toddler with braids in her hair. Their parents arranged their marriage when both children were young but neither has ever wanted anything else. She loves spending her time assisting Kiyoshi with planning his trekking excursions, and even more when she joins him.

Traits: Cheerful, Idealist, Adventurous
Oldest daughter Rei is prone to fussiness. She doesn't like to get dirty, or wet, or eat anything slimy. Instead she likes to be dressed up like a little doll and fussed over by the village elders who think she's adorable.
Fumio might have been a healthy baby but he was also one that cried a lot if he wasn't constantly held. Even at four his grandpa Naoki jokes that the boy is his little shadow, always under foot.
Mei is a fiercely independent little girl. She throws a huge fit if anyone even thinks to dress her up like Rei, screeching that she wants to dress herself. She's a little spitfire, that's for sure.
A happy, chunky little boy Asuka has been the easiest baby so far - something has family is very grateful for.
