Got out of the city, crossed rivers and climbed mountains. We have such a beautiful country! This gem is tucked away in Tanay. It took us 2 hours and around 2 jeepney rides, 2 tricycle rides and a short banka ride to get there.
It was worth every bump and every rough road cause the place was majestic! Tinipak river is famous for its white rock formations and crystal clear waters (it was pretty green when we went since it’s the rainy season, mud from the mountains). Still clear though.
Mt. Mamara probably is the hardest mountain I’ve climbed so far. It was steep and muddy but good thing there are loads of rocks and trunks I can cling to. The view from the summit will give you a bird’s eye view of Tinipak river running vast and across in between mountains. From the summit you could also check the mother of Mt. Mamara which is Mt. Daraitan. If it took us 3 hours to climb up and climb down Mt. Mamara, the guide said that Mt. Daraitan will take 5 hours to get to the summit only.
