Didn't expect that turn of events
Back in 2019, I bought a reversible apron off a vendor at a comic book convention. Despite loving it, I almost never wore it because it was too thick to be comfortable, so I decided to rip the seams & salvage the fabrics. Well...
Turns out the vendor made this by purchasing a finished apron (complete with "made in China" tag) and sewing some smallish pieces of quilting cotton on the back (thus both hiding the tag, and making the apron reversible). On the one hand, after salvaging the Jeff Goldblum print, the underlying apron is still usable. On the other, there wasn't nearly as much Jeff as I expected there to be.
Mt. Scrapmore to the rescue! After some scrounging, cutting, and piecing back together, I've now got a 20-1/2" x 20-1/2" (52 x 52 cm) piece of (somewhat) Jurassic Park themed patchwork. There are a couple fat quarters in the ol' stash boxes which would make a suitable lining with it, so it's likely that (shock of shocks) I will be making yet another boxed bag in the next few days. (Edit, every other row is deliberately upside down, so that it can be used as a non-directional print.)
