After Louisville, Dad and I hoped back on the freeway and headed out of Kentucky. After diving for a bit we crossed over into illinios and decided to stay the night in Mt. Vernon and take the next stretch through St. Louis onto Eureka Springs, AK the next day.

lovely family day
SO a few months ago my aunt had this idea to get our family together to go to Mt. Vernon for the day, because we suck and never do things as a family. Today was the day! This morning we hopped in the car at 6am and headed for Northern VA.
My immediate family got there early, so we wandered and i took cute pictures of them being adorable. because if you saw the intagram pic i snapped, you see that they are. Then everyone else got there, including my cousin's boyfriend's son, he came with my aunt without his daddy or my cousin. We clicked pretty quick, he is 7, my favorite age, so we walked around and i helped with his adventure map. He even tried to sneak off to come on the boat tour with me, honestly he was the sweetest little boy. My cousin has 2 little girls and he JUST moved from Florida to Virginia and in with my crazy family. I gave piggy back rides for a while and tickled, and tried on crazy hats, it was so much fun to play with him and the rest of my little babies.
Then we went to lunch with my dad's one sister and husband, I picked the place in Old Town, Bugsy's, i have not been there since right after Kevin got home from deployment. It was so good and fun. Then we walked around Old Town for three hours while i showed my family some of my favorite places and hung out .
Finally we made it back home where i collapsed in my bed and poking at my sunburn. god i am sore. Who knew carrying a almost 7 year old could be so exhausting. There may be a little more spam of my family, but i will probably be turning in to bed real soon.
