How well does mtf HRT actually work? Because I’ve been thinking about trying to get a hold of some gender affirming surgery but I’m just not sure whether or not it’s what I want. I really badly want to be a girl I just don’t know if I’ll be like, a good looking one you know? I’d really appreciate just some general knowledge and what to expect from already transitioned or transitioning mtf trans people. I mean I’d also appreciate tips on just how to generally look good as a fem boy/girl with things like make-up and diets.

(Edit: thx everyone, and by that I mean the two of you lol, for giving some guidance. I think I might hold off on actually starting the THR for a little while as I live in America and as all my fellow Americans know a literal felon trans hater just got elected so now might not be the time, however I will probably eventually start after this chaotic term is over. ok legitimate question: is there a reason why most transfemmes in asian media are fashionistas? is it a common stereotype or smth? i've seen it in skip & loafer, blue period, hibari-chan i think—would just like to know why bc i didn't get a proper answer from google

So i am wondering if any other trans people (or anyone else in general who has ever been bullied or feel constantly ridiculed more than not by their outer appearance) can relate to the situation i was just in - does anyone else feel like being trans has somewhat forced you to create/adapt a harder exterior shell as a form of a defense mechanism? I guess ive had more negative than positive encounters with strangers approaching me; because I literally just went off on this 60 year old guy at the gym out of habit by getting completely defensive with him thinking he was trying to insult me when he was literally just trying to joke around with me lolol. Jw if other people have this automatic reflex of almost jumping down someone’s throat bc ur so used to being surrounded by dick heads 25/7 that when you come across someone who is just being genuinely nice/friendly you simply cannot compute the compliment at hand so then you literally just explode lololol
