Last day in the office for 8 business days and I cannot tell you how happy I am about that.

I am close enough to vacation to be done with any and everything, but far enough from it that I still have to actually deal with all of the things I am mentally done with. So…that’s a fun limbo to be in.

There’s nothing quite like getting a taste of freedom to make returning to your soul deadening job a real downer.

My hair is very dirty, my house needs a post-guest tornado cleaning, I’m buried in emails I don’t want to deal with…but at least I have this going for me

I went into today pretty annoyed with my career in general and ended it with a sizeable raise and a better bonus than I expected in a poor sales year, sooooo okay okay alright okay.

+ I saw a heron on the way to work today

- I had to go into the office today

+ I had a nice, slow morning and accomplished everything I wanted/needed

- I had to get up early because the town water commission shut our water off from 730-330 today which is super cute

+ I finally signed Rory up for gymnastics after weeks of her begging me and she is literally joyful

- I have to take her to gymnastics tonight at 7pm which means I’ll be out after 8pm on a school night, the horror

- based on info from another mom, I think the guy running the gym is an End of Days weirdo but it’s the only place that is nearby, affordable and has otherwise good reviews, so now I will need to avoid awkward conversations every Tuesday evening…

+ I am incredibly busy today so the day is going by very fast.

- I am incredibly busy all week and I cannot take a breath between meetings or things due because EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING AT ONCE and we aren’t even in friggin q4 yet!

+ I have PTO at the end of the week

- that PTO was for a trip that is now canceled due to my friend not being able to travel. I took enough time off for a short distance trip, not 6 hours both ways.

+ the surprise nothing PTO means Chris and I can have a day date together and just leave our kid at school which will be nice

- it’s only fucking Tuesday

Just realized my surgery date is the same week as my presentation for the H2 business review and ha ha, hahaha fuck them if anyone thinks I’m coming in for that shit.
