#OnThisDay August 1, 2001 – MTV 20th Live Almost Legal

Aaliyah (along with dozens of various musician from all different genres) attend the MTV 20th birthday celebration; “MTV 20th: Live and Almost Legal”.

This was a televised three-hour retrospective of the first 20 years of MTV, showcasing clips from past musicians and live performances from current acts (including but not limited to) Run DMC, TLC, Kid Rock, and many more. This event was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York, NY.
