Mubouna trying to pull that "coding" bullshit to defend IchiRuki was gross to me. If an adult with an underage person is wrong (and it is) then it is wrong no matter what. It doesn't matter that Rukia is tiny and looks young. It's Bleach. Everybody looks young. It's still wrong as fuck. Clearly they had an agenda and people that they were out to get. So go ahead and side eye EVERYONE shipping a Shinigami and a human teen, or stfu and sit down.

I think Mei got more flack than she deserved with all this drama. She said her piece, based it with facts, and all she did initially was make a helpful psa. I don't think she is at fault here. If anything mubouna instigated.

     Yachiru’s love for stealing the koi that were in the ponds      of the Kuchiki family manor was what spurred Jushiro to try       to bring some off the offspring from Ugendo back to the waters.       Unfortunately he couldn’t find Byakuya anywhere around in the      nearby vicinity and was left to wander with a bunch of fish in      plastic bags in his hands.

     Luck with have it he at least sensed Renji nearby, and the      captain changed his course towards him.

    “Ah -- Abarai --” he started to call out and make his way over      to the lieutenant, almost dropping the fish and scrambling to      make sure they remained in his grasp. “Have you -- seen      Captain Kuchiki around recently?”
