So I'm playing minecraft on my PS3 an I was looking around my room and found five books on survival and crafting. I think I will stay alive if we have an apocalypse that requires theses skills...No I'll die playing minecraft or on this website.
I don't hate the player nor the game, I hate the move the player made in the game
I'm finally picking up textile crafts again now that it's summer, and I'm working on hand embroidering an olive tree with "and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of nations" from Rev. 22, which is a particularly stunning verse about God's mercy because even the idolatrous principalities will be healed in the end. It's a pretty big project because I'm stitching every individual leaf, but I've been planning it for a few months now.
The possibly more exciting thing is that I'm going to start making my first quilt in eleven years; my husband went through his closet a few days ago and he has many old button-up shirts that are too small for him but remain vibrant and soft and beautiful. So I'm turning them into a simple patchwork quilt, to redevelop those skills. On Monday I'm going to sell a bunch of books and buy a rotary cutter, new fabric scissors & self-healing mat so I can begin.
