au where Clara and Twelve are actors??
Clara sometimes gets a reputation for being difficult, because she’s so meticulous about everything. She strives to do as few takes as possible, because she wants to be perfect. On the other hand, though, she’s always right where she needs to be, when she needs to be there.
Meanwhile, Twelve is a bit more... lackadaisical. He’s fine doing multiple takes, because he likes trying different line deliveries, different body movements. He has a reputation for being rather laid back, but punctual and reliable (most of the time).
The first time they work together, he drives her CRAZY because he won’t run lines with her. She wants to get everything down perfectly, and it’s not that he doesn’t know his lines, he’s just more prone to adlibbing, while she’s rigid about delivering the lines exactly as they’re written.
He likes to go out after the shooting day is done, if they finish early enough, usually to dinner, or maybe just to grab a drink. He invites her along every time, but she always turns him down, preferring to go back to her hotel room to decompress, and go over her scenes for the next day.
One day, however, an article comes out about Clara, blowing some old pictures of her with a male friend completely out of proportion, and making up lies about bad things her former co-stars have said about her. As a result, she’s stressed out and doesn’t have a very good day, and when Twelve invites her to drinks after they’re done for the day, she agrees.
They talk over drinks, getting to know each other better, and he lets her rant about the public’s misconception of her. They stay at the bar for a long time, and is good and drunk when they finally leave. He walks her to her room, to make sure she gets there safely, and she smiles and thanks him as she closes the door.
The next day, she’s sitting in the makeup chair, nursing a terrible hangover, when he appears next to her, a cup of coffee in his hand. It’s made exactly how she likes it, and he grins at her surprise, simply saying that he pays attention.
Over the course of filming, they get closer and closer, both of them rubbing off on the other; Clara becomes a bit more relaxed about her scenes, while he’s more willing to rehearse with her when she wants to.
By the time the movie wraps, they’ve become very good friends and continue to spend time together, such that the tabloids begin making up rumors about their relationship. Neither of them particularly cares.
They kiss the night of the premiere, sitting in a darkened corner at the afterparty, and all they can do is grin at each other, thinking that the tabloids will finally be right.
