Project 1 of “Upgrading my Worst Design” pt. 1

Here is the body and antlers of this project going into a semi right direction. I have used Photoshop to create this base of the character. It does need more blending in certain areas like bringing out the shadows and fade them out more.  The highlights look pretty dull to me so I will bring out those as well along with brighting them. Basically, this is a shape that would help me start with designing the areas around it. Besides the shading and highlighting, I do not know where to go from here. Should I start putting in the clothes and jewelry? Would it be easier to create the hair so it can be out of the way? Truthfully, I do not think it would matter since they will be on separate layers. Next week I’ll update my progress with this deer-lady...mucha...character. Thank you for reading.

Project 1 of “Upgrading my Worst Design”

Here is the first idea of how I would like the girl to be positioned and how I want her appearance to look like. It does have this tumblr aesthetic look to it with the soft features on the face and flowers in her hair. I really want her to a darker skin tone as well as having gold accents on and around her body. Lets see how it goes from here.
