Every year like clockwork for the past five decades, Dublin flees his city for a week. 

Not that any of his brothers and sisters want to see him, so he just buries himself in the Wicklow Mountains and hopes no one comes looking. 

Every year, for a few days, his people flee to country houses, other cities, other countries, anywhere to get away, because they feel his departure in their bones.

The city and country officials have been trying to stop this exodus, because every year, for those same days, the streets of Dublin are alive and glowing green.

If they can in any way help it, there's not a Irish-bred soul in the lot.

...and while we're at it and I'm spiraling into watching interviews with Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine, does anyone want to put me out of my misery and just straight up tell me if they ever bust out meretricious or disingenuous on their constant quest to outdo each other with brilliant words? 

Because I have such a soft spot for those words; it's actually insane.

My TMI Tuesday

Isn't sexual this time. It isn't pervy. No it's me unleashing my true stress feels from the past three weeks of exams/study into one post and finally getting it out. I don't suggest reading this unless you're one of my irl friends. cause it might just come off as whining. also, i don't know why you'd care. 

I have gotten less sleep in the last three weeks than i have ever before in my life. I've stared at the computer for countless hours and rewritten, retyped, and reexamined entire courses. I've fucking retaken, requizzed, and revised years of past exam papers. I've had seven exams to study for. Seven exams to fuck my life over. 

In the last three weeks, I've managed to overwork, overfry, and overexhaust my brain, my body, and my knowledge. I've been so stressed that I haven't once eaten a proper meal in the last three weeks. I haven't once sat down and ate something. I've been surviving on half sandwiches and half-cups of ramen. My appetite is practically non-existent much like my sleep. I've stayed hidden in my room, only to come out for exams, water, and the bathroom. 

I've freaked out on people, only to casually take it back and act like everything is okay. But everything is not okay. Over these three weeks I've managed to make myself sick. Working myself up so much that my nights are spent dry heaving because my acid reflux is acting up. There is nothing in my stomach. I feel like I'm going to faint. And has any of this paid off? I honestly don't think so. 

this is the worst exam season of my life. i'm hurting myself to the point where when i skype my parents, i can't even keep a happy face anymore, i just burst into tears on skype with them. they've told me to stop studying, to take a break. to just be done. but i'm not sure if i've passed anything. i'm not sure if i'll pass tomorrow.

people think i'm fine. but i'm not. i'm physically weak, everything hurts, and i can't stop crying. 

i want to go home. i want this to be done. i want my parents to be proud of me. i want my work to pay off. i want to stop crying. i want to pass tomorrow.

i need to stop this. 

i hate this feeling of self-pity

i want a hug.
