Potter wasp - #potterwasps, aka #masonwasps, are #beneficialinsects that provide natural control for many types of #caterpillars and other #insect larvae in the #garden. These #insects are related to #muddaubers and the #nests of some species are constructed from mud and look like miniature pots or jugs. Some prefer nesting in the ground while others nest in hollow twigs, borings in wood, or crevices in #rocks. This one found a hollow #bamboo stick to be a suitable home.
