mel. she’s the worst. she just rolls around until she’s wrapped in it like a cocoon and then rudie is left with none.

mel tries to cut rudie’s once. it doesn’t work out so both accept they’re not hairdressers and go to professionals instead.

mel makes the coffee. she hauls herself out of bed early just to make him coffee and say goodbye before he heads for work at ridiculous o’clock.

both. especially if it makes the neighbors unhappy. they’re a special pair of assholes.

mel, even though she usually helps make them. saturday morning breakfast (usually leftover pizza) in bed is the best thing ever.

you mean ‘which one plays the trumpet and which one slams the oven door’? that’s more their style. they both just blast music and sing along to it. mel dances and sings, so she’s the more talented one. rudie just sits there and watches her, singing along too.
proposals? who do you think they are? normal people? vegas wedding baby. no one quite recalls who proposed it first.

neither. jack prefers to keep karen close, so there’s always enough blanket for both, and plenty of bed too since they’re both right in the middle of it.

karen cuts jack’s hair, though no one would know, since his hair is long and looks like it’s never seen scissors.

karen makes breakfast for her boys, so that includes all the coffee, plus the toast and the eggs and the bacon and anything else that she has on hand.

jack. he’ll usually grab it on the way home from work.

jack. karen walks past with her fingers in her ears and look on her face that says ‘i’m not buying you hearing aids when you’re older’.

karen. she doesn’t like mess… but jack makes a lot of mess.
again, both, but karen is worse. you can’t tickle her for too long though or she gets grumpy. jack learns when to stop after a while.

karen sings and jack plays the music. he teaches himself a little guitar and the first time he shows karen what he can play, she sings along, which he didn’t expect. very cute.

shannon. she just feels the cold more than tom, so he lets her do it. it’s cute when she sits there in the middle of the winter, pouting about the cold.

shannon cuts tom’s and she’s good at it too. he offers to cut hers once, but he makes an uneven mess, and so she has to see a hairdresser to get it fixed.

it depends who’s up. first to put on the kettle makes the coffee.

neither are too big on pizza really. if they get takeaway it’s more likely a curry or some chinese. if so then they both go pick it up after work, so tom can order the same thing every time, while shannon looks at the menu for five minutes before choosing one of the four things she usually gets - but for a moment she considers a new one, she’s just kind of indecisive and also worried she won’t like it.

if the song is good, then both. singing and dancing along to any shared favorite song is a must every time it comes on. more than once they’d started singing to themselves in grocery store aisles just because they could hear a song they loved.

neither. they don’t leave crumbs in the bed. who eats in bed? that’s what tables are for.
shannon, and tom knows every spot - and will ruthlessly use them against her if necessary.

i feel shannon was raised on piano lessons so she plays, tom sings. he’s actually a very good singer.
tom proposed. the only impulsive thing he’s ever done in his life, he didn’t even have a ring when he did it, but… no regrets.
