Newt is a Seawing, Mudwing hybrid and the ships boatswain. He’s quite strong thanks to his Mudwing genes, and loves swimming/surfing around the ship, giving it a boost and guiding it around rockier shores. He has an anklet of obsidian and sapphire gifted to him by Stargazer when he joined the crew and matching spine rings with his sibs. Newt was raised in the Mud Kingdom with the rest of his siblings (also half Seawings), who he still loves, but feels more at home at sea. He still keeps in touch with them through letters and meetings.

When he was older he set up a jewellery shop on the coast where he met Pothos and joined Ripples Crew.

I did a quick lil drawing for one of my favorite scenes in Wings of Fire. I couldn't stay focused long enough to do more details tho, I'm happy how this turned out still. I should draw more dragons like this though, it was really fun. ^^
