I tried to write my message in German, but then I realized how much better I am at speaking it than writing, so I guess I’ll give English a try. To the people of Münich, I am so sorry for what you are going through. Please stay safe! I want you to know that my thoughts and feelings go out to you, and I’m not just saying that. I never, ever though something like this would happen in Rheinland, so far away from the capital. I hope this will all wrap up quickly and no more lives will be lost. I find myself thinking of what I would do in that position, wondering what would happen if I was there, in the city my grandfather spent part of his childhood in and one I have always dreamed of visiting. Luckily, I can only imagine and hopefully it will remain that way for you all too. I wish words could express actual feelings because honestly in this situation they are really, really horrible. So I guess I’ll just end this by saying stay safe and I’m keeping you all in my thoughts.
