Right then! I was tagged by @mcubed35. I, like many other writers I know, could probably talk about my WIPs for hours, so I’ll try to keep this short.
This is my main project right now. It is currently still in the planning stages. I’m not sure how I feel about this title yet, but it’s all I’ve got for now.
The main character is Jackson, a 17-year-old orphan who always seems to find himself in trouble, even when he hasn’t done anything wrong. He runs away from the orphanage after his only friend ages out. Through his struggle to avoid getting caught, he makes some friends, including an old woman and a boy named Tyler. His life gets much more complicated when he learns that he’s not really an orphan–his parents are just in another world!
This is sort of my side project, the one I work on when I’m struggling with ideas for TLC. It is currently in its first draft, and I actually think of it more as my second main project. This is one where the title might stay, I kind of like it. It is different than anything I’ve written before–the idea actually came to me in the middle of a theology camp. Be aware that it is religious fiction, so if you think it might offend you in any way, you may want to skip this next part.
Destined for Grayness follows Angelina Snow as she escapes an abusive relationship and is forced to face her biggest fear: being alone. When she wakes up to find she has become an angel (quite literally), her life changes. But being an Angel of the Lord is no easy task, as she soon finds out.
I’m just going to stop there before I reveal too much.
The Voice of my Soul (TVOMS) – Currently on hold
TVOMS was my project for Camp Nano last year, and I haven’t done much with it since. I’m not a huge fan of this title, but it fits the story, so it’ll do for now.

Divorced parents, a new town, a new school, a new life. April Kjiernan is the new girl at Marble Hills High School and is almost instantly labeled as one of the popular kids. She wouldn’t complain too much…if this didn’t conflict with her newfound passion for choir. As she learns to find her voice, her popularity disappears. Just when things couldn’t get any worse, the young girl goes missing. It’s up to Alexander Smith, the Tight End for the football team, to find her.
Forever Home is currently a barely-coherent idea I have, and I’m not completely sure it will ever see the light of day, but it’s still a pretty fun idea.
Myriad isn’t like the other members of the Drakaniduus, and her fiery hair is only the start of it. She’s wild, her powers raw and untamed, and she doesn’t listen to anyone. She’s never belonged. When she takes her first trip to the Prystt, she sees people that accept her, rather than call her a child. But she knows she can’t stay, it’s against the rules. It’s for her own safety.
So that’s the basic rundown of my WIPs, working titles and all. Almost anyone I can think to tag has done it, but there’s still a few who haven’t.
