What can I do to get my blog recognized I've done everything
Hi! I’m not sure how can I answer you. I don’t have a popular blog myself, even if my blog has (not sure if they’re a lot but for me they’re a lot) followers. I want to believe the reason why people follow this blog is my hate free policy.
The most popular blogs belong to artist, editors, people posting news (when they’re real news), and sassy clever bloggers; however, most of us don’t belong to those groups or we have non-popular ships or characters (and we want to post things about them).
I doubt there’s a right answer to your question, but I can try to give you my opinion. I think people sympathize with good vibes; you can’t force them, but you can make them feel comfortable around your blog. A headcanon a day, a silly prompt, answer to their questions with a good attitude, ignore hate and never post hate, don’t reblog repost art, and use tags for everything; share fic recommendations, not a long list, one a day or every couple days; artist and art recommendations too; and tell people why you like those so much. Make them notice you in the right tags. Give them a place to find care, and care for them. I know by my own experience, if you invest time on your blog more chances are to get new followers. A clean theme full of links, functional tags, links on your description (for those using apps), are great and make people like me more tempted to follow a blog.
Take time to know the people following your blog… I know this isn’t possible when you have bazillions of followers, but, even better than tons of people clicking follow; million of times better, it’s people actually interacting with you, people caring for you, being happy because your icon comes and goes on their dashes, people answering your questions. If you belong to a tiny fandom this count more than anything.
I believe we should have fun and don’t try too hard. It’s nice have followers and popular posts but at the end of the day what really matter is have fun (that’s why we read and watch books/mangas/shows/animes/movies). I’m a multi-shipper and I found out that even people liking some of my ships disliked me for my other ships; I’m not here to please them, that my friend would dry your energy and would make you sad. Ask yourself what kind of people want around you. That made my life easier, one day I realized I couldn’t be the only one (I’m not that special), those are the followers I want.
Sorry for this unnecessary long answer.
