As a Brazilian I'm giving you kudos for your Kelly interview breakdown, I could recognize her speech was weird, instinctively, but I can't put it in words the way you did!

honestly i'm pretty sure the only reason i spotted it was cause i grew up in a french-speaking country hahaha. i had a lot of friends of portuguese descent but who were born in switzerland, so since i was the only one actually born in portugal and who spoke it fluently as a first language, i used to kinda give them classes, you know? like spot the pronounciation issues, or at least the most glaring ones, so they wouldn't get side-eyed and treated like foreigners when they went back to portugal. this felt kinda like going back to that.

but i'm very glad you found it useful and please do let me know if there's anything i said would sound weird in european portuguese but that are normal in brasil (or vice versa, if something strikes you as odd that i didn't mention). i'm always down for discussing linguistics, it's the coolest thing ever to me.

Logically I know we weren't promised anything and I will never hate on the writers for the decisions they make, I'm not one of those fans. IDK I'm still sad.

My philosophy is, you can feel what you feel, without being rude and don't fear anon, you're doing just that ❤️

We don't exaggerate when we discuss how close Buck and Eddie are. That is canon, that is what the show has given us. But where the line blurs for certain fans, the one thing we've never been given is a promise that something romantic is gonna happen with them. They've never baited us with advertising, etc.

Personally, I worry that the main problem that occurs whenever Buck and Eddie are romantically involved with others is the development. They could grow with their partners; trust, love, dates, etc, but I fear it will never feel as fully fleshed out as the canon couples we have now. We are six seasons in, and before now, all the main cast were already in relationships aside from Buck and Eddie. Relationships that have been built over time and those couples is that they were developed as individuals and together as a couple.

Having a guest cast introduced this late into the game, while knowing only one thing about each of them, is where the problem lies. I hope whatever happens going forward, they're not left at "love interests." Let's say the writers are serious about them, then they need their own character development which will be incredibly difficult in an ensemble show 🥺

poorly timed confession + everybody knows/mistaken for a couple

okay so this one isn’t as developed but i think i’d do it with stucky where they’re so close that everyone just assumes that they’re dating and they just don’t want to make a big deal out of it but then bucky goes to natasha and confesses that he’s in love with steve right before steve brings home a girl for the team to meet and introduces her as his girlfriend (maybe peggy or something) and the whole team is like wait... you and bucky broke up?? and steve is super confused and bucky turns bright pink and rushes out of the room and i guess thats the end but thats super sad :( i’d probably follow up with a second part set like a while later and steve realizes hes not happy with peggy but he can’t tell whats wrong and then end it with a dramatic realization or something idk lol
