Happy Birthday Moony!
It was Remus' birthday and Regulus had snuck into the castle kitchen early in the morning (not so say in the middle of the night) to create a chocolate cake. It had not been the problem to find a suitable recipe - it was amazing what you could find out if you just took houseelves seriously! - however, the task seemed to be more complicated than he had first thought. "It's not much different than potions." he muttered to himself and stared at the spatula in his hand."You're not backpedaling now. You're doing it all Muggle-style."
Four hours later Remus entered the Great Hall to find an almost perfect cake with a squiggled "For Remus" on the Gryffindor table. There was no trace of Padfoot, Prongs and Wormtail yet, as they were not among the early risers of the school. There was no sign of Regulus either. Not surprising at all. It would have taken a house elf armada to contain the chaos in the kitchen again.
With a piece of cake on his plate, Remus set out on his way, with a feeling that he should head for the kitchen. His disbelieving face quickly turned into an incredibly amused one when he heard Regulus scolding silently as he caught him scrubbing the floor. "When you're done, maybe you should take care of the chocolate crust in your hair and neck!" The Gryffindor suggested, before giving his friend a hand.
