OHH NINA 💜 Let me tell you my secrets of writing for Luffy 👒 This fic was so special to me! It was stuck in my drafts for months because the ending was so hard to come up with!

DIRECTOR'S CUT:

I think the type of Luffy fic I want to read just doesn't exist so I decide to take matters into my own hands and write what I want to see! I honestly use this method of thinking for all of my Luffy fics, not just the one.

I've talked about it with our friends before. Luffy is silly and can be dumb, so I think people characterize him to be completely brainless for everything! This makes me sad. Luffy is great at figuring out what bugs his friends. Luffy is very emotionally intelligent, so I do believe he can understand love and being desired and caring for someone. He loves his friends so much, so what about romantic love then?

And then I thought: if he can understand this, then how would he react to reader if they said he was hot? He's got such a charm I think people look past.

Also, what would a flirty Luffy look like? How would he feel? What would he say if he was into it? So then I have to think of some spicy dialogue or situations and then... Luff-ify them - make them genuine, straightforward, and fun just like his personality. He would be honest with how he feels in these situations.

I also thought it was cute to make him a little jealous! I wanted to try that out so badly and it was so much fun! I also like to add a little spice in there, because again I think Luffy can understand - but make it spicy in a rubbery Luffy way!

It's very hard to write for him with all this in mind, but I sincerely love it and I get surprised at the results sometimes! I do really think I have a deep understanding of him!

For me, when I read your fanfictions one of the things I love most about your style is how you really embrace portraying our beloved characters as people! For example, with Satoru 👀 he’s the wonderful sexy man we all know and love BUT you also beautifully write his goofy, joking personality! He’s not just the love interest, you can feel the bond that we (Reader) have with Satoru in your fanfics! He feels so realistic, dear Mugi, and I often giggle and banter with him as I read because it feels like I’m really messing around with him eheheheheh 👀

There are many things I adore about your writing, but that’s an example! 🥰
