Croutching Tiger Hidden Dragon : Sword of Destiny just got released on Netflix recently and now I get to share some hard worked shots with ya all. Concept to finished Matte Painting, set extensions. I created the sky dome, mountain range, hills and tree elements and my dear boss Bojan Zoric took the elements I made and created a 360 dome for the sequence for all the other matte painters. This particular shot is using new elements I made for this angle only and the series of shots following this key shot. we shipped outs many shots from this sequence feels like we been on this ice lake forever.

Added Jukebox buried in sand and burnt/destroyed sign in the back, also replaced sky and added reflection in the pond.
Too bad the client ended up not keeping the jukebox, i actually quite liked that thing from the game.
