Shrinshee and Mukate?

oh wait i was gonna add text but I forgot anyway here's what it would be Shrinshee: here ya go Mukate: Careful!!

anyway so these two have. an arrangement going on. in the EARLY days, Shrinshee (who has hopes of usurping Madrigal as clan leader), was thinking about what Madrigal has that she doesn't, and decided on: a mate. So she found this lil dude, Mukate, and they did the whole fake-dating thing for a while until Mu was like 'ok no, that's enough' (he'd gone along with it for a while cos he was new to the clan and thought it'd help him fit in. BUT he of course ended up falling for Dove so pretending to date Shrinshee couldn't really keep going on). Shrinshee had meanwhile decided that having hatchlings would be a great status symbol WHILE Mukate and Dove had started considering having their own hatchlings. Wow, how lucky is that! They both wanted kids, for different reasons. Shrinshee never wanted to actually RAISE any kids, she just wanted to be able to say she had heaps of kids who've gone off to serve the Gladekeeper's army. So the solution: Shrin is a surrogate for the skydancer pair :3

Shrinshee x Mukate

Read below for parenting style & relationship with kids…

These two first became an “item” when Shrinshee realised that, in order to be seen as a mature and respectable Guardian, and improve her status in the clan, she needed a charge. Having no desire to actually seek out her charge, instead she kidnapped the first dragon she came across, the hapless Mukate.  With Shrinshee’s absolute disregard for anything to do with her “charge”, Mukate was free basically to do whatever he wanted. Since Shrinshee would only require his presence for public appearances or making herself look good. Having not had a clan of his own, and enjoying the one he’d mistakenly found himself a part of, the chubby skydancer decided to stay. 

After some time, Mukate found himself falling for the flamboyant Dove, a fellow male skydancer who had been smitten by the gold and brown male ever since he’d arrived. The two started dating, and formed a loving family unit along with Dove’s Guardian Vibeke.

In some weird, weird way, Mukate actually has some kind of fondness for Shrinshee. Mostly it’s sympathy- he can see through her and it makes him sad that she has to fake and pretend her way through life. He keeps his relationship with Dove quite discrete out of not wanting to publicly embarrass Shrinshee.

When he and Dove wanted to have their own kids, Mukate went to Shrinshee and broached the idea of having eggs with her. She was very keen on the idea- surely having hatchlings would improve her standing even more... especially if they were honoured enough to be exalted!

But after laying any eggs the Guardian hands them off to Mukate, really not wanting anything to do with any resulting offspring. So their offspring are raised by Mukate, Dove, and Vibeke, in a loving and stable environment.
