Six Sentence Sunday

I’m back with another snapshot from our @everlarkficexchange prompt. Has anyone guessed at which prompt we are working on? ; ) Thank you to @savvylark and @ra3lynn3 for being patient, encouraging, and all their hard work and time.

Katniss refused to dismiss his display earlier. “Then why come through the front today? Trying to show off?”

“No!” Peeta denied eyes wide and palms out. He shook his head and looked down with a laugh, “I misplaced my store keys.” he admitted.

“So how does this bakery run if the owner isn’t on time and can’t keep track of his keys?”

“If you must know, I was swarmed by a herd of tiny children.” Peeta deadpanned.

Katniss scowled, “What does that have to do with either of those things?”

“Have you ever wrestled your way out of a mob of sugar high six year old’s? I’m lucky to have made it out alive. Apparently the store keys weren’t so lucky, they were discovered at the scene of my attack.”
