“Kalia stop tugging on it, you’re gonna pull ‘em all the way off.” Claudia my older sister hissed as I tugged on the loose sequence hanging from my bridesmaid dress.

“I didn’t wanna wear the stupid dress anyway.” I mumbled dropping my hands from the ugly dress.

Shooting me the stern motherly look, Claudia stood back in position as we awaited the grand entrance of the bride. Rolling my eyes at Claudia’s kiss ass attitude I huffed aloud catching the groom’s attention. Shooting me his flawless, heart melting, panty wetting, pearly white smile along with a wink the groom seemed to make all my anger and hostility vanish.

Feeling myself begin to blush I quickly dropped my head. How can one man make me feel like this from just a smile and wink? As ‘Here Comes the Bride’ began to play, I could feel the hostility that had vanished moments ago reenter my body. Lifting my head I began watching the bourgeois, ungrateful heffa walk down the aisle to marry the most generous, kind, loving and caring man I’d ever met in my life disgusted me to the depths of my soul. How is it that women like her always get the good ones? She didn’t deserve him, he deserved so much better than what she has to offer him. I was letting a small crush get me worked up mentally and now emotionally, I guess I was just crazy to think that he would put his life on hold until I turned 18 to even think about dating me. I knew once Claudia introduce me to him that it would never work but I just always had this small piece of hope that it could work one day. Unfortunately his wedding day came way before the day I’d planned our first date in my head.

"Do you Xavier Wright, take Kenya Jones to be your lawfully wedded wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"
